White-tailed deer are found all over the United States. There are an estimated four million white-tailed deer living in Texas. They are often solitary animals but can be found in herds ranging in various sizes. White-tails eat mostly forbs (weedy plants) and shrubs, and can be found in wooded and brushy areas of the state. Deer do not migrate, but remain in an area around one square kilometer in size (about 7 square city blocks) year round. As one of the most popular game animals, white-tailed deer are important to the state’s economy with deer hunting generating an estimated $1.2 billion in economic output and $15.7 billion nationwide. The recreational, economic, aesthetic, and cultural value of white-tailed deer continues to peak interests in management and research.

Trash Rack Outfitters (TRO) is a family run ranch and is located 40 miles north of Del Rio, Texas (home of beautiful Lake Amistad) on highway 277 or approximately 50 miles south of Sonora on highway 277. Our terrain ranges from mesquite and cedar flats with an abundance of oak to steep bluffs with sage, pinion pine and cedar. The flats have Texas White Tail Deer, Turkey and Hogs. The hillsides and bluffs also have the Deer, Turkey and Hogs as well as the exotic species including large herds of Aoudad. We have some of the largest Free Range Axis Deer and Black Buck Antelope in Texas. We also offer limited high fence hunts as well.

      *$10,500.00 if purchased separately

   • Turkey - $1,500.00
      Extra days - $250.00/day
      Skinning and cleaning/quartering @ $225.00 per animal
